Boyd Gaming Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Boyd Gaming Corporation, which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

Boyd Gaming reported that the data breach may have impacted 4,300 residents of Texas. Residents of other states may have also been impacted.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name, address, Social Security number information, driver’s license number, government-issued ID number (e.g. passport, state ID card), and/or date of birth.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
