Central One Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation
Maxey Law Firm is investigating Central One Federal Credit Union, which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.
Central One Federal Credit Union reported that the data breach may have impacted 274 residents of Texas. Residents of other states may have also been impacted.
For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their Social Security number information, driver’s license number, government-issued ID number (e.g. passport, state ID card), financial information (e.g. account number, credit or debit card number), medical information, and/or health insurance information.
It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
