Connex Credit Union Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Connex Credit Union, which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

Connex Credit Union reported that the data breach may have impacted 172,000 individuals.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name, account number, debit card information, Social Security number, and/or other government ID used to open the individual’s account.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
