Alpine Lumber Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Alpine Lumber, which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name, address, Social Security number, date of birth, health insurance plan enrollment information, health insurance policy number, medical information, driver’s license number or state identification card number, passport number, other government-issued identification number, financial account information, and/or payment card information.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
