Barrett-Jackson Holdings Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Barrett-Jackson Holdings, which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

Barrett-Jackson Holdings reported that the data breach may have impacted 1,794 residents of Texas. Residents of other states may have also been impacted.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name, address, Social Security Number information, driver’s license number, government-issued ID number (e.g. passport, state ID card), financial information (e.g. account number, credit or debit card number), and/or health insurance information.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
