Phil Smith Automotive Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Phil Smith Management, Inc. d/b/a Phil Smith Automotive Group, which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

Phil Smith Automotive reported that the data breach may have impacted 12,274 individuals.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name, Social Security number, and/or driver's license or state issued identification number.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
