Compumedics USA Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Compumedics USA Inc., which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name, date of birth, demographic information, Social Security number, medical record number, health insurance information, treatment and diagnosis information, date(s) of treatment, provider name(s), and/or sleep study results.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
