Highlands Oncology Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Highlands Oncology Group PA., which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

Highlands Oncology reported that the data breach may have impacted 113,575 individuals.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name, date of birth, Social Security number, driver’s license/state identification number, passport number, credit/debit card number, financial account number, medical treatment information, medical record number, patient account number, and/or health insurance policy information.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
