Kaplan North America Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Kaplan North America, LLC, which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

Kaplan North America reported that the data breach may have impacted 19,075 residents of Maine. Residents of other states may also have been impacted.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name, Social Security number, and/or driver’s license number.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
