MetroWest Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating MetroWest Community Federal Credit Union, which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

MetroWest reported that the data breach may have impacted 7,508 residents of Massachusetts. Residents of other states may have also been impacted.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name, Social Security Number, Financial Account, Drivers Licenses, and/or Credit/Debit Numbers.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
