Precision Tax Relief Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Precision Tax Relief LLC, which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

Precision Tax Relief reported that the data breach may have impacted 766 residents of Texas. Residents of other states may have also been impacted.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name, Security number information, driver’s license number, and/or financial information (e.g. account number, credit or debit card number).

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
