Waterborne Environmental Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating Waterborne Environmental, Inc., which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name, date of birth, address, driver’s license number, Social Security number, passport number, and/or benefits information (possibly including health insurance numbers for individuals who have enrolled in employer-sponsored insurance coverage through Waterborne Environmental).

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
