Cooper Health Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

Maxey Law Firm is investigating The Cooper Health System (“Cooper”), which recently sent notice of a data breach to impacted individuals.

Cooper reported that the data breach may have impacted 57,412 individuals.

For each of these individuals, the information involved may have included their name and Social Security number.

It is unclear whether or not the Social Security numbers were encrypted and, if not, why they were not encrypted.
